This is the email I received a few days ago and it definitely made my day. I’m extremely happy as this image is very close to me. The moment depicted in the photo is still very vivid. I still remember the lights, the smells, the place, the taste of the soda I was drinking while sitting on a wooden bench inside the hut, where I took this photo. I still remember that when I saw the scene and then snapped a few images inside, when I looked at the LCD screen of my camera, I could feel that it came out pretty good. Well, it didn’t became a finalist in the awards (will do next time ;) ), but it’s still in the top 50, which is not so bad. Plus it will be exhibited in the 2014 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition and World Photo London in the Somerset House in London, UK between 1-18th May, 2014.
Here is the link to the WPO site where you can find my image in the 2nd row on the right.
